SMS Messaging & Consent Policy
Last updated September 11, 2026
Simplicity CRM is a software platform used by insurance agencies to communicate with their own customers and prospects. Simplicity CRM is owned and operated by Dlee Investments LLC. This page explains what text messages an agency may send, how consent is obtained and recorded, and how a recipient can stop receiving messages at any time.

What types of SMS messages may be sent
Messages relate to a recipient's insurance inquiry or policy, and may include:
- Quote follow-up
- Payment reminders and payment confirmations
- Policy reminders, cancellation and reinstatement notices
- Missing document requests
- Underwriting updates
- Renewal notifications
- Retention and re-engagement communications where proper consent exists
- Customer service replies
Messages are initiated by the insurance agency the recipient does business with, not by Simplicity CRM on its own behalf.
How customers consent
The current primary consent method is verbal consent, captured during a live conversation with a licensed agent or agency staff member. The workflow is:
- A customer or prospect provides their mobile phone number to an agent during a quote request, policy servicing interaction, customer service interaction, renewal conversation, or similar insurance-related communication.
- The agent explains that the customer may receive SMS messages relating to their insurance inquiry or policy — for example quote follow-ups, payment reminders, policy reminders, document requests, underwriting updates, renewal communications, retention communications, and customer service responses.
- The agent asks the customer whether they agree to receive SMS communications.
- If the customer agrees, the agent records the consent inside Simplicity CRM, together with the phone number, date and time, the staff member who captured it, and the exact disclosure wording used.
The disclosure read to the customer is substantially the following:
Do you agree to receive text messages from our agency regarding your insurance quote, policy, payments, documents, renewals, and customer service? Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not required to purchase insurance. You may reply STOP at any time to opt out.
Consent is optional and is not required as a condition of purchasing insurance or any other product or service. If a customer declines, that decision is recorded and no SMS messages are sent.
How an agency records consent
Consent is stored as a permanent, append-only audit record inside Simplicity CRM. Each record includes the phone number, consent status, consent method, the exact disclosure language and its version, the date and time, the staff member who captured it, and the agency it belongs to. Historical records are never overwritten or deleted, and agency staff cannot switch a customer's messaging permission on without creating an audit event.
Additional consent methods — web form, paper form, SMS keyword, QR code, or another documented method — are supported by the platform but are only used by an agency that has explicitly enabled and documented them.
How customers revoke consent
Consent may be revoked at any time by replying STOP to any message, by telling the agency directly by phone, email, or in person, or by asking the agency to remove the number. Once revoked, outbound SMS to that number is blocked platform-wide, including automated reminders and retention sequences.
STOP instructions
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from SMS communications. STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT are all honored. Opting out of text messages does not cancel insurance coverage and does not stop email or phone contact unless separately requested.
HELP instructions
Reply HELP for assistance and you will receive the servicing agency's name and support phone number, or contact the agency that services your policy directly.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on customer activity and insurance needs — for example the timing of a payment, a document request, or a renewal. There is no fixed recurring schedule.
Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
